Scope
This policy describes JGTV Player, the JGTVapp website, and its member-account and Sports Stream subscription features, operated by RANDOM ANIMAL COMPANY LLC. Independent IPTV providers process information under their own policies.
JGTV Player for Android and Fire TV
The following describes the current JGTV Player Android app, including its Fire TV build. The player is separate from the website account and paid Sports Stream service. You add your own authorized content source; a website subscription is not required to use the player.
Information on your device
The app saves provider addresses and login credentials, cached content libraries and TV guides, favorites, display and library preferences, and your acceptance of the app disclaimer. If you enter an optional TheSportsDB key, it is also saved. Provider credentials, cached library and guide files, and the sports-data key use encrypted local storage backed by Android Keystore. Preferences are held separately in app-private storage. The current Android build disables app backup.
Connections to other services
The app sends requests to the providers you configure to authenticate, load playlists and guides, and play streams. Your provider receives the credentials needed for its service, your IP address, and request details. Artwork is loaded from image addresses supplied by your content source. Sports schedules and scores use TheSportsDB and nflverse data hosted on GitHub; these services and their hosting providers receive your IP address and request details. An optional TheSportsDB key is sent to TheSportsDB when its features require it. Each external service has its own privacy practices.
The player supports both HTTP and HTTPS provider addresses. HTTP connections are not encrypted in transit and can expose credentials and stream requests to network observers. Use HTTPS sources when your provider supports them. Local encryption does not make an HTTP connection secure.
Permissions, advertising, and analytics
The current app requests internet access, network-state access, and permission to keep the device awake during playback. Playlist and guide imports use the device document picker to access files you select. The current build does not request contacts, camera, microphone, or location permissions and does not include an advertising or analytics SDK. Device operating systems and third-party providers may separately process technical information under their own policies.
Remove player data
In Settings → Sources, remove an individual source. Settings → Remove all saved sources and data clears saved provider details, the library, guide, favorites, optional sports-data key, and library preferences. Disclaimer acceptance is stored separately. To remove all local app data, clear the app storage in your device settings. Removing local data does not cancel a provider subscription or delete records held by the website or external services.
Website account and support information
The website processes information supplied to create or manage an account, such as your name, email address, login details, and support messages. It also maintains membership status and any assigned access-expiration information. Website passwords are handled through WordPress authentication.
Google sign-in
If you choose Google sign-in, Google authenticates you and shares the profile information authorized in its sign-in flow, such as an account identifier, name, and email address. JGTVapp does not receive your Google password. Google’s own privacy policy also applies to its services.
Payments
Stripe processes subscription payments through its hosted checkout. Card details are submitted directly to Stripe. JGTVapp does not store full payment-card numbers or card security codes. The website may retain order amounts, transaction references, payment and refund status, and billing details needed to manage a subscription.
Cookies and technical information
WordPress and store functions use cookies or similar storage to maintain sign-in sessions and, where used, cart and checkout state. Hosting and security systems may process IP addresses, request times, browser information, and error logs to operate and protect the website. Blocking necessary cookies may prevent sign-in or checkout from working.
How information is used and shared
Information is used to operate accounts, provide authorized access, process payments and refunds, respond to support requests, prevent misuse, and meet legal obligations. Hosting, authentication, and payment providers process the information needed for their functions. Information may also be disclosed where required by law or necessary to investigate fraud or protect accounts.
Sports Stream provisioning
MegaOTT provides the account-provisioning service for Sports Stream. We send the generated stream username and password, selected package and connection limit, and account-expiration details needed to create and manage access. Generated usernames may be based on your first and last name. Stream credentials are stored encrypted on the website and displayed to the signed-in account holder.
Retention and security
Account information is kept as needed to operate the account. Transaction and support records may need to be retained for accounting, dispute handling, and legal obligations. Deleted information may remain in backups until those backups expire.
The website uses HTTPS and account authentication. No service can guarantee absolute security. Never send passwords or complete payment-card details in a support message.
Your choices and requests
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your account information, subject to applicable law and necessary record retention. We may need to verify your identity before acting. Deleting an account is separate from canceling a paid subscription; use the cancellation process to stop future charges. To request deletion of your JGTVapp website account and associated personal information, email support@jgtvapp.com with the subject “Account deletion” from your registered email address. Do not include passwords or stream credentials. We will verify the request and explain any records that must be retained for accounting, disputes, or legal obligations.
